The Ink Brook is owned by Velany Rodrigues, a freelance writer and editor who lives in Mumbai, India. My goal is to help individuals and businesses communicate with clarity and impact.

Services offered

I offer the following professional services:

• Writing: Original content creation for blogs, websites, articles, reports, and more.

• Editing: Basic and advanced levels of editing for grammar, clarity, and consistency.

• Proofreading: Final review for spelling, punctuation, and formatting accuracy.

All services may be customized to suit the client’s needs.

Booking and payment

• Work is confirmed upon mutual agreement and written acceptance via email or our online form.

• Payment terms will be outlined in the project proposal or invoice.

• All payments must be made via PayPal.

• Failure to pay on time may result in a delay in or suspension of services.

Turnaround and delivery

• Turnaround time depends on the scope, complexity, and client responsiveness.

• Estimated timelines will be shared before the project begins.

• Rush projects may incur an additional fee.

• Final deliverables are provided in standard formats (e.g., Word) unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations and refunds

• If a project is canceled by the client before work begins, a full refund will be issued.

• If canceled after work has begun, a partial refund may be issued based on the amount of work completed.

• No refunds are available once the final deliverables have been submitted.

Intellectual property and usage

• For writing projects, full rights to the final content are transferred to the client upon receipt of full payment, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

• For editing and proofreading, content ownership remains with the client at all times.

• The Ink Brook reserves the right to showcase portions of edited or written work (with your permission or anonymized) in the portfolio section. No work will be displayed without your consent.

Client responsibilities

• Provide clear instructions, background materials, and timely feedback.

• Delays in providing information or approvals may impact the delivery schedule.

Confidentiality

I respect your privacy and handle all materials and communications with confidentiality. Sensitive documents will not be shared, published, or disclosed without consent.

Limitation of liability

While I strive for excellence, The Ink Brook is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of services. It is the client’s responsibility to review and approve final content before publication or use.
